Thank you for reading Sylvia this year!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for reading Sylvia this year and supporting our launch. There have been so many amazing pieces published and I’m grateful to everyone for reading, writing, sharing and commenting. My dream is that we will build an audience for wonderful writing and be able to pay more and more writers for their work.
Have you read Night Skating in Norfolk, Home & Hearth, or Winter Trees? I think December was my favourite month of poetry ever!
Submissions
We had so many submissions during our first submission window; more than I could have imagined! Thank you for trusting me with your work.
Everyone who has submitted a piece should now have received a reply. If you sent a piece in but haven’t had a response, please email submissions@sylviamagazine.com and I will make sure that you get a reply.
Submissions will be open again in the new year and the guidelines will be published very soon. All of the details will be on the Submissions page and you will be emailed first.
Columnists
I am keen to start publishing some monthly column pieces with a literary focus over the coming months. For now, I am only asking you, our subscribers, if you have an idea for a column? 500 words a month, something fun that you can develop a readership for. Email submissions@sylviamagazine.com with ‘Column’ as the subject line.
Happy New Year!
However you’re feeling about 2020 being behind us and 2021 ahead, I hope that you can take a moment today to pause and enjoy the turn of the year.
As always, happy reading!
